Ruud explains :
As a passionate pigeon fancier, I want my pigeons to train vigorously twice a day during the week
and to go into the basket with a full tank every week during the racing season.
For years, I have been using the same mixture all year round during the racing, breeding and moulting season,
breeding and moulting period with the addition of some fattier feed at the end of the week during the one-day race.
In 2023, I chose to have my own mixture composed by the company Vanrobaeys,
tailored to my specific wishes.
The years before, I already used their Dynamik or Top Energy at the end of the week during the racing season
and the quality of the grains used convinced me to make this choice.
As my results continued to improve, fanciers friends also started asking for this feed and in consultation with the Vanrobaeys company, it was decided to make it available to everyone in 2025.

FOOD SYSTEM
During the breeding and moulting season we feed 100% Bakker Exclusive.

After the youngsters are weaned, the racers are fed 50% Bakker Exclusive, 25% paddy
and 25% barley.

From the racing flights onwards 75% Bakker Exclusive, 12.5% paddy and 12.5% barley.

If the weather forecast is cold with a head wind, 100% Bakker Exclusive is fed the last 2 days.

Two weeks before the one-day race we feed 100% Bakker Exclusive.

On arrival home: 50% Bakker Exclusive, 25% paddy and 25% barley.

Ruud Bakker, together with his father Dolf, has built a great breeding loft and he will
continue to build on it.
Meanwhile, they have a strain of pigeons that has proven itself for years now, not only in Zoelen but also in other lofts and one-loft races.
